First of all, lvl 270 is an upgrade for many people over regular PVE pieces. Secondly, it doesnt mean the OP may not start PVPing. 1k for 270 piece is charity.

It's not that pvpers are bount to something like... "Oh i hope this week in arena my shoulders drop!". You just play, get paid and buy anything you like. Luck doesn't matter. All high rating players i know just do VoA for the frost-emblems. They dont care if they loose rolls to an pve-person, they just just go "okay, then i buy that one next, case closed"

@AB above Drag: No, i wouldnt let that paly roll, but again, getting PvP gear and getting PvE gear is something complete different. In PvP you gain currency and rating to buy a desired piece of gear that is allways availabe. You can allmost completely control what you get. In PvE you kill a boss and pray to the RNG-gods that this f***ing trinket will finaly drop. Then you either spend all your DKP on it (or you roll for it and have to be lucky once more) or try it again next week. This was somewhat loosen up since the Emblem-System has come to the game. But PvPers can also use them.

That said, PvEers allways need luck to get thier gear. Hell, i know someone that raidet Saurfang 4 weeks in a row and never saw his Tier-token once. PvPers shouldnt cry if they run VoA (a PvE encounter) and loose rolls to someone. You can earn your gear otherwise. And before someone flames me to death: I allways pass on PvP gear if someone else can use it.
