As someone who basically has no respect for just about every form of religion (there ARE a couple respectable ones, the one in question not being one of them), this is rather amusing and mostly true. The people who found it offensive are just guilty of not having a mind of their own.

No one has said it's untrue, because most religions teach that lying is a sin.
