Actually check wiki, hamsters do have 9 lives. That really is a private server... The rumor about 9 lives started with hamsters ages ago, when they were being fed as food for snakes, so the kids wouldnt mind killing them for their snake pets. But cats were more common and kept getting run over by cars, so the kids would cry. Thats why the used the 9 lives thing so kids would belive they revived with 8 lives and they were ok.
