Sad, but true. As a Holy Paladin, I cannot do enough damage to kill anybody that can heal themselves, and have enough healing power to keep myself alive for a good while with almost anybody attacking me. If the person attacking me is similar, such as a resto druid, the winner will be the one that either doesn't give up, or stays awake longer.

Good ol' classic... It was more fun. Me as a feral druid and a holy paladin had a duel for 2 hours before we decided to end it in a tie. As for the bash, it's a "no shit sherlock?" thing.

Towards the end of wrath a holy paladin and I as a disc priest had a duel that lasted nearly an hour. It only ended when my need to pee overwhelmed my need to duel.
