I just downloaded Pchat and I'm trying to get used to the "channel sticky" aspect of it. So a convo of sharing war stories with my fellow girl gamer leads to pretty embarrassing MT...

do chiks really deal with this in game?

Unfortunately, yes, we do.

No, we dont.

Yes they do, my girlfriend plays and I've seen some of the things people say... Even when they KNOW she is my girlfriend, and that I'm sitting 10 feet beside her. If it actually upsets her she just /ignores and tells me to give them hell.

Sad, but true. I find it nearly impossible to have a guy friend who in the end doesn't ruin our friendship by saying awkward things like "I love you," or something of the sort.

"I find it nearly impossible to have a guy friend who in the end doesn't ruin our friendship by saying awkward things like "I love you," or something of the sort." Amen -.-

I personally haven't had to deal with stuff like this in-game, but I also don't go around flaunting my gender, either. /shrug But embarrassing MTs are embarrassing :(

How does being openly female = flaunting? i'm curious, cause I hate the fact that girl's have to "hide" being girls online otherwise they're being "attention whores".

you know if you be friends with a guy chances are they will get to love you but if you just think of them as nothing but a friend tell them this early or you will end up hurting them if they think they have a chance. girls are so arrogant this way then dont think about the guys feelings at all. especialy when the friend is a good person and all the girl does is go out with assholes...they just cant see whats infront of them i swear.

I don't expect guys to tell me that they "just want to be friends," so why should I tell them the same thing? Maybe it's a girl thing, but what makes you even the littlest bit sure that I would even WANT to date you that you're warning me before I get too caught up in you. I'm sorry, but guys need to suck it up and realize that just because a girl is willing to talk to you, it doesn't mean that they want to have your babies. It's not an issue of arrogance, it's an issue of RADICALLY different ways of seeing the opposite sex. I see male friends as brothers, and men see women as girlfriends.

Also, I WISH I could admit I was a girl to people other than guildies without someone either telling me I can't play (please heal yourself, then) or hitting on me. Hell, I usually get hit on for playing a female toon, and then, when I lie and tell people that I'm a dude and they should transfer to a RP server, they call ME gay slurs. I'm sorry, I was raising a baby raptor, you were the one detailing my sordid future internet sexual history with you, so my bad for being "gay".

notice that the screenshot mentions getting hit on by "Married men". i don't think taking the guy's feelings into account here is the issue...

Gosh, first time i spoke on vent to my wow friends they all were silent for 5mins, i didn\'t know if it was cause i was female or australian.. I had waited then asked them if they were ok and within 30sec of asking that the common response was \"Yeah just had to grab tissues to clean the load of my chair\" Men..I still love them tho

Our raids traditionally have most to all female healers. We had to pug a DPS one week due to a bunch of our guild being on vacation. When the PuG lock heard us on vent, he started complaining about us being girls. We told him "I hope you have drain life hot keyed" and had fun letting him get low enough to panic before hitting him with a heal bomb for the rest of the night. The best part is when he asked our shaman to be a "good guy" and heal him. Too bad our shaman is a woman who just sounds like a little boy...

Anyone else see "The Guild" reference in there with Zaboo. XD
